Both juvenile crust from enriched mantle source have more are less similar isotopic signatures so quite confusing .Is their another geochemical parameter e.g. whole rock , other siotopes which easily differentiate with especial context to alkaline rocks? Thanks
You can integrate Rb-Sr and Sm-Nd systematic with carbon and noble gas isotopes. In that case you can differentiate easily (with some considerations) an enriched mantle source from a juvenile crust with 3He/4He ratio (He isotopes is the best way to investigate mantle source, cause of its geochemical characteristics).
CRUST --> 0.01 Ra
MORB --> 8 +/- 1 Ra
SCLM (Sub-Continental Lithospheric Mantle) --> 6.1 +/- 0.9 Ra
Hot Spot 5-50 Ra
Ra is the atmospheric value of 3He/4He ratio
A little more difficult with carbon isotopes.
