For photons, we know relaxation length or MFP is considered the length it takes to reach 37% of its initial dose or intensity value. Can we apply the same concept for neutrons to calculate their MFP on a certain medium? I have depth dose profiles of neutrons on different mediums.
One could try a similar calculation, in principle, but the MFP for neutrons should be different than 37%. Indeed, unlike photons, the neutrons (even having wave oroperties) are massive particles : look further in their slowing down process relations.

I found reference documents supporting that MFP is 37% of its initial flux density. I calculated it from the depth-dose profile in a material. I know its a bit confusing.
