It was believed that following threats of legal action by a coalition of publishers including Elsevier and the American Chemical Society, ResearchGate platform decided to restrict accessibility to some uploaded articles. Can this be a strategy by some publishers to enhance readers subscription to their journal publications? Who suppose to hold the copyright ownership between the author of an article and the publisher? Please, what is your view on this issue?
Once you sign the copyright agreement with the journal, you have transferred your right to share indiscriminately with anyone.
I agree with Dr Odetokun, when submitting to some journals you fill a copyright transfer form which limits your sharing platform. Although if you publish open access, I believe this gives you a better sharing right than subscription publishing where the journal actually needs readers to subscribe before reading your article. Solution therefore is always try to publish open access

The signing of the copyright agreement limits the authors right of sharing and usually since the cost of publication of such articles are born by the publisher
