You should check with the Mab vendor and ask if they have comparative data on the epitope recognised on Sparus aurata IgM. Other wise you will need to evaluate reactivity in your laboratory. Western blot is a good assay for this whereas you can evaluate multiple sera from various fish including sea bream (positive control). The sera should be pre diluted 1:10 and 1:100 for evaluation.
If its a polyclonal Ab, you have possibilities of cross reaction across Abs of different broadly related species. I found that the Rabbit anti blufin bream Sparidentax hasta antibodies reacted well with the yellowfin bream (Acanthopagrus latus) though they are from different genus. Also, considerable reactivity was seen with grouper as well. But, monoclonals have more specific reactivity pattern, So please check if the monoclonals are against a comparable epitope. If not as suggested by Frank Gelder, do it your self. Best way is a dot-immuno assay.
