Dear Researchers,

A Prof. from Islamic studies background has advised me not to use Derrida's frame work which according to him is based only on Western Philosophies to deconstruct Baba Bulleh Shah's kafis i.e., a genre of Punjabi sufi poetry. I am at a very later stage of my work and after years of closing working with my research I have found that there are so many scholars who are using Derrida's theological account of deconstruction ( negative theology, absence vs. presence, bewilderment, Pli, In comparability) to deconstruct Sufi ideas of Mulana Rumi, Omar Khayam and Ibn- Arabi . Should I take the above mentioned advise, considering that the worthy professor is purely from an Islamic studies background. Should the suggested changes be only taken according to linguistic and literature point of views ( which explains my own background) OR should I change my entire framework. However after revisiting literature review many a times deconstructing Sufi narratives is quite doable.
