I have no reports on sonochemical method for waste water treatment (for which effluent quality) in large scale. Could you describe in more detail which process technology you want to apply and which treatment efficiency would be your goal. Is it a municipal or an industrial waste water with which composition. Without this information it is impooible to say something reasonable on cost and energy.

There has been work done in the smaller scale for treatment of PFOS and chlorophenols. However the energy requirements for these methods prove to be inefficient at the moment for the industrial scale as high voltage batteries are required for sonicating even a conical flask quantity.
