As time passes, The use of English pidgin as communication code has increased. This is visible in a majority of former English colonies such as Cameroon, Ghana, Nigeria and even out of Africa in the city of Maryland in USA.

English pidgin is today use in all sectors of human, social,economic and religious life as a fast means of communicating information even to the uneducated. In Cameroon for example ,English Pidgin has become more of a creole as It's used has greatly breach the gap between the educated and uneducated.

English Pidgin has unarguably met all the criteria of being referred to as a standard language as it can be written and has a grammatical form but unfortunately it is yet to be standardized as a language.
