LabChart is a good software with Powerful, flexible data acquisition system which can be used in pharmacological studies to Record and Analyze physiological signals from isolated tissues, organs or intact animals or human including blood pressure and cardiac activity. This software has different modules to analyze data including blood pressure and cardiac parameters.
The Blood Pressure Module automatically detects, analyzes and reports cardiovascular parameters from arterial or ventricular pressure signals, either online or offline.
Features:
-Suitable for analysis of blood pressure from humans as well as large and small animals
-Blood pressure can be analyzed in real time during acquisition
-BP Classifier for detection and exclusion of atypical waveforms

The ECG Analysis Module automatically detects and reports PQRST onset, amplitude and intervals, either online or offline.

for data acquisition (blood pressure, heart rate, ventilation, EEG, etc...) you may try RECAN (real time cardiovascular analysis written in visual C++, alpha-2 SARL, Lyon, France, [email protected]). for data processing, this may be customized by AC or yourself up to the needs of your students. The nurses are using it daily in the neonatalogy unit : user-friendly tool. LQ.
By the way, RECAN is also quite usable for research purposes : see pub med under "cividjian a". LQ.
