I am trying to stain SH-SY5Y cells for DAT and used three different antibodies which all give a very faint stain. You can see the shape of the cells. The staining is weak and diffuse. I used MAB369 (1:rat, Millipore), 6-5G10 (1:25, rat, St.Cruz) and N-19 (1:50, goat, St.Cruz). All with similar results. Might of course be that the SH-SY5Y express only low levels of DAT. Has someone experience in staining SH-SY5Y for DAT and can recommend an antibody?
