Hi, I'm just starting out on flow cytometry. Regarding the daily clean option, the instrument engineer told that we need to run the daily clean option + all the four fluidics options only once a week. Then the application engineer came and said that the daily clean option needs to be run every alternate days and that we don't need to run the 4 fluidics options at all. Can someone please help on which one to follow as I'm confused right now?
Hi! It should be better to clean the cytometer everyday if it is used. The standard protocollo depends on the instrument, but in general it consists of different cleaning solutions to be run on the cytometer. A more in depth cleaning should be done once a month, more or less. However, I would recommend a short clean between acquisitions if different users use the cytometer and/or within the same session if many tubes are acquired
