In this figure, I have a shark tooth from Brazil, from the Aliança Formation, upper Jurasic and lower cretaceous cronology. I have a Raman spectrum, that is representative of the sample. I was hoping to find Apatite or Fluorapatite peaks. I don't recognize any of these peaks. Can anyone help me identify them?

The crystalline spectrum is very sharp.
Dear Sergey Mamedov thank's for your attention. Sadly there's not Fluorapatite in this sample. The Fluorapatite v1 vibrational mode appears ~ 962 cm-1, and the first strong peak occurred in 1192.
I think these peaks are related to organic compounds, or a very dissorder mienrals.
Hi Daniel. Did you inestigate this sample at the SEM-EDS? It can give you relevante information regarding the surface composition, which can help you with the Raman.
Which wavelength you used in the Raman laser?
It does not look like proteins/amino acids as there is no amide I bands (1640-1670 cm-1), amide II (1550 cm-1) or amide III (1230-1300 cm-1). If you can send the full spectrum, I may take a look. Also, I have micro-XRF in the lab, so if you ship the sample to me, I may take a look using micro-XRF and micro-Raman. After measurements, I’ll send it back to you. If you are interested, I’ll give you my mailing address in the USA.
By the way, micro-XRF is better than SEM-EDS as the last one requires coating to avoid static charge and vacuum. I did a similar project with otolith using micro-XRF and Raman. Elemental and molecular information is complimentary.
