The literature says, it's soluble in DCM but in reality, it's not soluble at all, I am trying to modify camptothecin with triphosgene/DMAP for hydroxyl-hydroxyl(C20) coupling, according to the literature, it should get soluble after the first step (reaction with triphosgene/DMAP) but it does not change a bit in term of solubility(just to confirm I have used dry DCM using 3A activated MS all the times). If someone had a similar issue with CPT solubility, Please do comment!

It would be great if you can recommend a different method for hydroxyl- hydroxyl coupling(especially applicable to CPT).

From my so far experience with CPT, it's only soluble in DMSO!
