I have recorded meerkats in zoo, and need exact discrimination of call types, becacuse i cant sort them from behavioural context. I will be glad if someone cant help me. I can send wave files of calls. Thanks!

the first step is to define what you want to demonstrate/show: just a description of the calls ? their behavioral function/meaning ? their stability/stereotypy ? their specificity versus other similar species ?
A basic spectrographic analysis might be enough for a preliminary analysis and description of the calls features.
According to the shapes you see on the spectrogram, and also according to your listening of the sounds, you then need to identify some measuring points that enable you to characterize the vocalizations and analyze them statistically.
that's the basic strategy, then you need to tune it according to your research goals (and also according to the quality and size of your recorded materials)
