Hello everyone, I wish to use SCAPS to model solar cells with mesoporous TiO2. All the literature I have accessed where SCAPS was used report on planar devices. Can it work for sensitized devices?
If you have a porous electrode, then you need two dimensional analysis while when you have a flat electrode you need one dimensional analysis only in the direction perpendicular to the surface of the electrode as in the one intentional models.
If your simulator is a one dimensional one. then in order to use it for porous electrodes, yo have to model your porous electrode as an equivalent flat electrode. The simplest model is to stretch the porous electrode to a flat electrode , which means that you substitute the the porous electrode with flat electrode with the same surface area of the porous electrode. This is just an idea that you can elaborate on it.
