I am interested in studying the effects of chemicals on membrane fluidity in Candida albicans cells.

Pyrene is a commonly used probe for determining changes in membrane fluidity in mammalian cells. Can this probe be used for membrane fluidity measurements in fungi like C. albicans or yeast like S. cerevisia? Any help in sharing protocol(s) or relevant publication(s) will be highly appreciated.
