I would like to know the ability of PLAXIS 3D, which can use to evaluate the liquefaction analysis or not? If can, could you please provide me links of its relating tutorials and papers. Because, I could not find the liquefaction analysis evaluation with PLAXIS3D so far. Thank you.
Yes PLAXIS new full version software can simulate earthquake related problem. You could find these details in new version of the PLAXIS tutorial manual and also refer to scientific and reference manual of the software. But, research publications related to liquefaction study based on PLAXIS is less.
THE UBC3D-PLM MODEL was implemented in PLAXIS 2018 to be used to evaluate the liquefaction analysis in 3D domain; however, this model has some limitations could lead to unrealistic prediction of soil liquefaction.
