Can PFA fixed rodent brain regions be used for TEM?

I am performing histology studies on rat brain, for that tissues are stored in PFA at 4oC. Is it possible that tissues stored by similar procedure can also be used for TEM studies or do we need different storage solutions and embedding methods that is being used for histological studies, as some protocols are using OsO4 and K4[Fe(CN)6] for storage of tissues.

Absolutely, most TEM specimens are fixed in Glutaraldehyde, but all of that is washed anyway to be post- or secondary fixed in OsO4.
