I understand that it is indeed possible to determine de novo peptide sequence using MS/MS data. However I can't manage access to a Tandem MS instrument. I may be able to manage a GC-MS instrument. I can also carry out amino acid analysis by HPLC (qualitative and quantitative).
So, if MALDI or ESI ionizer is used, can GC-MS and HPLC data be combined accurately enough to generate de novo peptide sequence?
