In your past experiences have you had to do cross-language searching? What are the best search strategies across languages? It could have been for your own research, or for creating a list of resources for speakers of other languages in your library community, or simply for getting news from different part of the world. Have you figured out best practice for tackling a particular language pair? What was the particular difficulty that you may have had to overcome? At what point have you had to reply on automated translation in your Cross-Language Information Retrieval (CLIR) for Multi-Lingual Information Access (MLIA). What was most confusing? Would your strategy work for monolinguals, or do you have to have some knowledge of both languages (assuming it's a pair of them, e.g., Spanish-English). I would much appreciate your tips and suggestions on best practices around the world. Perhaps you could mention specific helpful tools, websites, resources, or advice page. Your personal stories of successes and failures CLIR and MLIA are always welcome!
