I am trying to make piezoresistors. I would not like to use higher amount of solvent. Most literature uses 0.3 mg CNT per ml chloroform for dispersing them using tip ulrasonication. Is it suitable to use it at 2 mg/ml chloroform for making piezoresistor.
Of course, you can add 2 mg of CNTs to 1 ml chloroform. But, the uniformity would be very bad and this won`t be a dispersion, it would be most likely thick paste which I`m not recommend for research grad work.

Is there a specific reason for using chloroform? Our laboratory have found that NMP ( N-Methyl-2-pyrrolidone ) provides very good dispersions up to 5 mg.mL^-1 with 30 min ultrasonic agitation. DMF (dimethylformamide) has also provided satisfactory results.

Also, be careful with ultrasonication time: prolonged ultrasonication (say, for about 20 min) can brake CNTs.
