In the process of synthesizing alloys of Mn and other metals, there are too many losses due to Mn evaporation. Pelletized(cold press) metal nano powder is used for arc melting.
I know that the boiling point of Mn is not relatively high, so it's impossible to completely prevent the loss. However, it's not easy to predict the composition by adding supplement because the amount of loss is too huge.
If Mn loss can be reduced, it will be easier to match the composition through supplement. Would it be helpful to use metal pieces instead of pelletized nanopowder?
Is there anyone else who has a good idea?
