Levamisole is an immunotropic drug with little side effects. I have been used this drug for the last 30 yrs. in different recurrent bacterial infections due low immunity including viral recurrence like herpes labialis, aphthous ulcer. Still not to much facts which could prompt you to use levamisole in covid. But from another hand in case of paramyxoviruses activity has been confirmed in human subjects many years ago. Moreover it was shown that levamisole significantly reduced histamine release in virus-infected calves. Some Russian studies recommended levamisole for combined therapy of complicated forms of influenza, particularly those with a severe course.
