Leadership is often defined as a microfoundation or antecedent of dynamic capabilities (DC). Yet, one could argue that 'leading' (a transformative innovation project, for example) can be considered a capability in itself. If one adopts the view of Eisenhardt and Martin (2000) on DC, even as a dynamic capability.
Searching for articles that express leadership as a (dynamic) capability, led to zero results, however.
Am I missing out on something, or is it just not appropriate to define 'leadership' as a DC and should one focus on the activities, processes, and routines that make up a DC and leave leadership to be a foundation, antecedent, mediator etc.?
