Induction air heaters are first introduced as hygienic heaters. These days, while the world is influenced by the Pandemic, can induction air heaters be an alternative instead of all other heaters, since they are able to heat the air until disinfection temperature.

This is a very available area because no one yet studying this subject. We have reached 100% (thermal) efficiency after coils. But our heater is working with network frequency (50 Hz). Because of this, we need transformers in our system. And the efficiency of a transformer is about 50%. Thus our 1st Law efficiency drops to 50% because of electrical efficiencies. But in High Frequency (HF) applications, it says electrical efficiency may reach up to 98%. This means the efficiency of our induction air may be enhanced by 98%.

By the way, I want to encourage every single academician to this unattached field. We've just accomplished our 2nd M.Sc. thesis on this subject. As soon as we publish our findings, We're going to share our experimental results via MethodX or its alternative.

Induction heating is based on converting the electric energy into heat by polarization losses. So, from conceptual point of view you can heat the air as the air molecules can be polarized by an alternating electric field. When the frequency is high enough such the dipoles can not follow the variation of the electric field electric energy will be absorbed by the molecules.
You may make the process more effective by intensifying the molecules by sucking and compressing them together.
But as far as i know there is ultraviolet radiation that can be used in disinfecting the air without heating it. Heating can be harm for the other useful microorganism.

Besides the question if it is possible, there is a question whether or not it is reasonable.
Heating is an energy-intense application, thus the cost for energy needs to be considered as well.
To increase efficiency, heat pumps can be used as heating systems. This way, per kWh of electric energy spent, more than 1 kWh heat is generated.
Any other method of generating heat from electricity will be less efficient and thus more expensive
In hospitals, sterile air is a prerequisite and sterilization kills far more than just the Covid visurs.
In the private domain, desinfecting air is not really making sense.
Potentially, removing particles causing allergic reactions using proper filters can be required
In EVs, energy is limited due to battery size. Therefore car-makers turned to heat pumps to get the most efficient system at resonable cost.
If indution heating compared to heat-pumps leads to lower range in wnter, it will most likely be considered a "no-go".
