Can I use sentinel-1 for detecting the presence of water in wetlands with dense\sparse vegetation Cover considering Sentinel-1 Uses C-band with limited penetration?

Will I get satisfying Results ? If your answer is no then what would u suggest for this Goal?

Also what polarization Would have the best Results?
