I am working on brain injury simulation in LS Dyna software. And the problem I have is that when the skull collides with the rigid wall, the skull does not deform and passes through the wall.
the contact is automatic nodes to surface, between wall and skull.
Do you have an opinion?

In case the wall is rigid, possibility of head to go through wall is remote. Tell me the details how this can happen.
The head trauma can be direct with lacerations in the scalp, may be or not associated also with concussion.
The more serious mechanism is tangential with rotational tearing effects with shearing stresses. The injury here is internal with a combination of concussion, contusions and hemorrhages. Externally may be no apparent injury and this can be decieving.
The third one is a combination of the above two.

If you think of very rapid acceleration injury like a driver in a car struck against a wall it would be direct injury with lacerations and skull fractures.
Also we should put a cervical collar until excluding cervical fractures. Facial injury should be dealt with.
The patient may have a concussion.
The possibilty of more serious brain injury is much less than in rotational injuries.
