I would like to use recepror autoradiogaphy on fixed human brain tissue (+1 year fixation in 10% formalin), but I have not been able to find any studies that use fixed tissue.

First quick test with [3H] UCB-J showed very limited tracer binding, most likely beacuse of receptor masking by fixation.

Does anybody have experience with fixed tissue in receptor autoradiography and can tell me if I need to pretreat the tissue with e.g. antigen retrieval or if it is simply impossible?
