In my lab our primer stock came from two different manufacturers, in particular the housekeeping primer is not from the same brand as the target primer. Do you think this would be an issue? I'm doing a delta delta Ct analysis on the results.
The quality of oligo synthesis is very high and almost every company uses phosphoramidite chemistry to manufacture oligos. The oligos will not vary between companies. The only thing that might vary in your case is the level of purity of the supplied oligos and the age of the oligos if your indtitute has stopped buying from one company years ago and these oligos were diddolved in water and not TE then thee older oligos may not age well but generally I would say that it makes no difference so long as they have been stored correctly
Are these primers for cloning or primers for qPCR? Do they have any modifications?
