Begonias are sensitive to Oryzalin herbicide and it is not used for Begonia Polyploidy studies and i doubt if Begonia mini cutting can survive Oryzalin Treatments .

Yes. Oryzalin (3,5-dinitro-N4,N4-dipropylsulfanilamide) is an antimitotic agent (like cholchicine) and it can induce polyploidy alterations, , particularly the induction of tetraploids, which would serve as useful breeding material for creating newer, improved triploids. It may had a negative effect on the in vitro regeneration.
I briefly look through It from internet. I have not seen publications on this subject (Oryzalin on Begonia). If there is no info available, you have to experiment it and find out.
N2O gas seems to successfully induce polyploidy on Begonia (see attachment). Have you though about using this method?

I am a private researcher and flower breeder and my laboratory equipment's and chemicals are limited , now i have only Oryzalin .
