Dear researchers, Recently, my paper got published in a journal. however, i have used two figures from this published paper without reference to the source, in other paper (current statut: Decision in Process).
Now, I have been getting email from editor inviting me to sent a published paper to him for the comparison **My apologies for the recent delay to your manuscript. While assessing your manuscript prior to a final decision on it I noticed that your submitted paper is very similar to some recent published work from yourself and some of your co-authors. The paper to which I am referring is titled ‘,,,,,,’. I was wondering if you would mind providing a copy of your published work for us to assess? We would like to ensure that we can publish your current submission despite the similarity to the published work**
What should I do?
I think you can't, if u will add it to ur new paper u have two choice: you need to contact the journal to have the copyright... or you modify the figure and you add the reference

you can ask permission to reuse content published by Elsevier, especially if if it's from your own work ( what it was yours i mean :-D ). it's simple it will cost you 0 Euros, just take a look at the link bellow:
