I want to dissolve a poor soluble drug to be injected intraperitoneal to mice model having ovarian cancer in peritoneal cavity.
I was thinking of using cyclodextrin to dissolve my drug so does anyone know if this method can be used in this case?
Also, please if you can suggest another methods to dissolve poorly soluble drug for IP injection?

Try (2-hydroxy)propyl-beta-cyclodextrin, DS4-5 or 6-7. It does not necessarily work but at least that is an accepted drug carrier.

I agree with dr Jicsinszky. The most useful choice in such situations is the hydroxy-propyl-beta-cyclodextrin, which additionally shows a very high aqueous solubility (more than 40%).
You also could try the Sulfobutylether-β-Cyclodextrin, another safe option to be injectable.
On the other hand, the native beta-ciclodextrin can’t be used for injectable purpose due its toxicity.
Yes you can but need to calculate stability constant for CD/Drug which is going to be used. based on, it could be clear how much CD do you need to dissolve needing Drug. If your matter is just to make a clear solution you can add excces CD that in this issue Hydroxypropyl and also Sulfobutylether-β-Cyclodextrin work for you. please consider the Mw of your drug must be between 200-800 g/mol
