Most of the papers I have come across used this method(cyclic voltammetry) because their samples are organic semiconductor (organic polymers). But my sample is MoS2 (inorganic material)Thin film, a few layer thick.
HOMO-LUMO levels characterize the organic materials not inorganic materials. In inorganic materials you need to determined Valence band which corresponds to HOMO-in organic materials- and conduction band which corresponds to LUMO - in organic materials-.
@ kumuthini Rajendran: Inorganic materials does not have homo- lumo level.. This could be oxidation and reduction potential that we can find out from the CV experiments. The potential stability also we can able to study from CV. You may do mott-schottky experiments to calculate such VB, CB, career concentration and flat band potentials.. and Impedance studies as well..
