Hello, I will need to separate proteins from the nucleic acids' fraction from extracellular medium samples (which have low concentrations of both). Does anyone know if I could still use the supernatant to isolate the nucleic acids if I precipitate the proteins using TCA?

I really appreciate any help you can provide.
