Hello,

I am performing a research study on the correlates and predictors of a mental health disorder (N=450). The outcome measure could be both continuous and categorical. For an in-depth analysis, I am looking at the categorical subscale (low, medium, and high).

First, I am conducting a chi-square analysis with the categorical IVs which are more than 20 and then I thought of performing multinominal logistic regression analysis for the significant chi-square correlations to look at the predictors of the DV. Can anyone please tell me it makes sense? Because I don't feel that the chi-square test alone would provide a strong analysis.

Thank you!
