Hi everyone

I want to study the effect of high and low glucose DMEMs on the metabolic status of MCF7 cells. The primary culture medium of the cells was RPMI. Do I have to freeze the existing cells first and then do this with the desired DMEM when defrosting?

Or that by changing the culture medium, the desired DMEM can be added to the cell culture medium?

please guide me

Hi Arezu,

What I would do is on the next pass of the cells switch to the DMEM medium and hold them for a cycle or two, or passages, before doing your assay.
