We are trying to develop a landform map based on 10 m-resolution digital elevation models (DEM). So far we have found a couple of options at 30 and 90 m resolution DEM. We will be very grateful if you can provide some feedback or guidance on how to proceed. We can use ArcGIS or QGIS to achieve our objective.

A higher resolution DEM of 12.5 metres is now available as part of the ALOS PALSAR by-product, though it is of ellipsoidal character and not geoidal and requires gravity undulation conversions before it can be utilized effectively.

'Yes'. But for what purpose, and where in the world (AOI), that dictates what resolution, quality, and the source(s) of the data. Some DEMs are optimized for relief, others for hydrologic consistency, so the algorithms ( le up sampling or down sampling ) used will have an end effect on the approximation that every DEM is. A very rugged mountainous area will need a different approach than a super flat plain where the relative relief is in inches.
