Calculate Annual Energy Production (AEP) from a 20 years monthly time series?

Is it correct to calculate the AEP from a 20 years time series of monthly wind speed at once ( of monthly wind speed)?

By calculate you mean making annual values from monthly, or you mean using both annual and monthly values in a regression?

The answer to the first cases is that it depends on how well the wind speed forecasts the energy production.

The answer to the second case is that you only the frequency of observations to be the same in a regression. Therefore either use annual data for both ER and WP, or find a way to estimate monthly AEA.
