I am analyzing rubber Ir data.
I need to do a quantitative analysis with IR, but the problem is the baseline.
Every time I run the machine, I get an irregular baseline.
So I want to reduce this error very much, and I'm trying to do the following.
1. set one peak, set one trough.
2. Calculate the gap between the two points per sample.
3. calculate and apply the gap as a quantitative basis for each sample.
I'm trying to get the intensity of the peak this way because the baseline is inaccurate, is this okay?
What I need is to know if this makes academic and logical sense.
