Can I add Environmental Concerns as one of the independent variables for my Studies?

Hi everyone, currently I am kinda confused with my lecturer's request, I was told to include environmental concerns as one of the independent variables followed by the UTAUT model's variables as well. Can I add other variables that are not inside a theory?
