Can gelatin directicly be used as matrix for ipsc feeder-free culture?

I heard from my friend that their iPSC were cultured in 0.2%-coated dish, however gelatin is far more cheaper than matrigel or vitronectin et.al

If gelatin is commonly used, I would buy some and try.

Best is try once, gelatin is very cheap, what you will lose. May be it will be an additional information you will provide, good luck
