The incessant search for ways of development of the energy sector in our eco system is faced with modern challenges such as tackling long term strategy of energy efficiency at a set-goal and mitigating environmental problems. Therefore, my question is linked with the modernisation of energy systems such as intelligent pumps for the future and if it can be economically efficient to sustain resources. Thank you!
The future of intelligent pumps (e.g., heat pumps, geothermal pumps, etc) such as those that can be used in green buildings can be sustainable if they manufactured using the additive manufacturing technology (AM) which is also called the 3-D technology. In AM, components like the intelligent pump is made layer by layer instead of via machining of large mass of metals.

I am always wary of the use of 'advanced technology' to improve environmental performance. Of anything. I strongly suggest that you do the sums carefully when balancing some technological solution versus its costs. I'm not saying it can't be done but the introduction of 'intelligence' in ecosystem management is not in my view a sure fire solution to making some aspect of a system more 'efficient'. What in this context is efficiency, anyway? I think effectiveness would be a better description.
