I am planning on performing a myelination assay with rat Schwann cells and rat DRG neurons. Most protocols I have found prepare DRG neurons from rat embryos, but I was wondering if it is possible to culture DRG neurons from postnatal rat pups, as this would be much easier.
The publication I linked describes protocols reportedly adequate for both embryonic and adult DRG neurons.
