Are there any supporting articles for the use of chloroform?
Hello,
Yes, it would dissolve, but chloroform may not be a great GC solvent to use, as compared to n-Hexane, which would also dissolve methyl esters.
Have you checked out here: https://www.researchgate.net/post/What_is_the_best_solvent_to_dilute_FAME_Fatty_acid_methyl_ester
Thanks,
Biswa
Thank you very much!
Also, chloroform can have effects on 'septum' damage: http://www.chromforum.org/viewtopic.php?t=1414 among other issues: http://www.separatedbyexperience.com/library/article.aspx?id=31
