Hi,

Yes it can acts as a absorber in thin films. Which is basically a Quantum dot structure you can prepare through SILAR method. Before deposition any electron transporting layer should be on a substrate (FTO or ITO).

Simply you can use the CdS as absorber in thin film solar cells on the Glass substrate. Also, absorber layer of Cu(In,Ga)Se2 and ,CdTe and Cu2SnS3 solar cells.
