Hello everybody,
To be used as a reporter protein, bacterial alkaline phosphatase (BAC) is usually fused at the C -terminal of a protein (such as scFv). Can it be fused at the N - terminal? Will it be functionally active?
Regards.
It would be active. It doesn't matter which end is used.
Thank you Marcia.
Data are in today. The PhoA with a passenger protein on its C terminus worked like a charm. Thank you once again Marcia.
