Can ATP receptors be blocked in vivo?

Is it possible to administrate P2 receptor antagonists or blocking antibodies in mice? Is there any side effects or toxicity expected from such a strategy?

Hi,

which receptor? All P2?

I used BBG to block P2X7 receptors in rats. It not have side effects since it is a food corant too.
