@ Ross Sir... Actually, in my case the intensity of D and G Band is increased after the attachments of nanoparticles ( Pt and ZnO)on MWCNTs ... i have attached ZnO via chemical route and Pt via metal deposition...

So, both peaks are increased in intensity, but by different amounts?

I'm not an expert on this, but it sounds possibly like a surface enhanced Raman effect (SERS/SERRS). Platinum is sometimes used in such experiments.

Shivani, Id/Ig ratio decreased means defects in CNTs have decreased due to nanoparticle attachment which itself is interesting as the attachment should increase defects in CNTs. Does it means that someway, these nanoparticles are actually being attached to the defect sites in CNTs ?? So, that there is no generation of 2nd order phonon in Raman spectroscopy. I think so.
