In my case, the value of 2 theta is changed from 25.8 to 26.01 for (002) carbon plane, after attachment of oxide nano-particles on the CNTs.
The chances of the change of inter planner spacing in case of CNTs after attaching nano particles are quite low. The processing parameters of oxide particle attachment are not mentioned however, the stretching of carbon bonding and the type and morphology of CNT are important. Please give details of type of CNTs and nature and processing of attached oxide nano particles.
26.1 it's for graphite of (002), make sure there's no graphitization will occur during the process?
in my case. i have used MWCNTs and attached NiO nano-particles by chemical route..
002 peak carbon materials will be very broad and weak, since 2theta values difference was insignificant ,i guess change in 2theta values will not give you much detail.
Another possible reason may be due to weak peaks leads to pick erroneous values.
@Shivani Dhall, the XRD very sensitive about misalignment this should be take in consideration, but try use Raman, its will gave you idea of what happen during the reaction. No needs for reference just back to ICDD XRD cards for CNTs (00-058-1638) and Graphite (00-041-1487), i can gave you a copy of the cards if you not get them.
