I am trying  to simulate the electric field distribution of a AgNP of size 20 nm via excitation at LSPR band by using COMSOL 4.3b. In vacuum my LSPR band at ~ 355 nm, I am getting maximum electric field (E/E0) at the surface is ~12 and it appears the field inside the NP is not zero showing ~5. My interest is to simulate the AgNPs of size 20 nm with background medium of refractive index ~1.62. I am getting  maximum field (E/E0) at the surface is ~50 and inside the sphere is ~25. I expected that in both cases inside filed to be zero. I am having doubt with my simulation procedure. Can any clarify these simulations correct or not.
