I would like to learn how to deal with hyperspectral data using ERDAS IMAGIN or ArcGIS and the steps of classification using digital library and also the preprocessing until getting classified images for urban areas.
Dear Abdelmounaime have you used ENVI to deal with hyperspectral processing i could find very good tools in ERDAS IMAGIN 2013 for hyperspectral processing
ENVI is the first software that introduced hyperspectral processing tools. I am almost sure that you will find algorithms not available in ERDAS. It would be worthy to get familiar with and use it it if needed too.
David Landgrebe's publications may bring some clarification on the specificity of hyperspectral imagery. Theory is important. Then, go on with ERDAS, which seems be available to you (however, it's worth having a trial with ENVI, if you have this possibility; it was already recommended above, and I fully agree).
You may also spend several hours on Multispec software that is an educational tool developed by Langrebe's team many years ago; it's freely available.
